Big Soft Ginger Cookies

I love these cookies!  I always make a double batch – and they freeze well, too!  That is, if you can keep your peeps from eating them all right away!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Ingredients
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ¾ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • sugar for rolling dough
  • Servings/Yield: 2 dozen

Instructions
  1. Cream butter, sugar, egg, and molasses.
  2. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
  3. Form round dough balls and roll dough in sugar and place on greased cookie sheet.
  4. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.

Notes
I always double this recipe!
