This weekend, my kids made Oreo Bon Bons.
This is a really easy, no-cook dessert. So easy in fact, that my kids made this together – without my help. The only thing I did was take pictures.
Chloe took some to her volleyball practice for an after work-out treat. She came home with just a few crumbs and many requests for the recipe. So, here it is.
- 16 oz package Oreos
- 8 oz cream cheese
- ½ package Almond Bark
- Let cream cheese come to room temperature. Mix entire package of Oreos and cream cheese together in a food processor. Blend until mixture forms a big dough ball, similar to cookie dough consistency.
- Form bite-size balls (makes about 3 dozen) and place on a cookie sheet or plate. Put in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
- Melt almond bark in a microwave safe bowl. Dip cold bon bons in melted chocolate. Let dry on wax paper. Store in an air tight container in the fridge.
- Try experimenting with flavored Oreos (mint, peanut butter) or with white almond bark. Be prepared for them to vanish quickly.
