Big Kid Valentines

by Dinner Hero on February 5, 2013

What do you do when your middle-school kid has outgrown school Valentine parties, but she still wants to share a treat with her friends?

Yep – you make your own Valentines.  Nothing too sappy.  Nothing too little kiddie.  Cards are definitely out.  But candy?  Candy is good.

Of course, younger kids could make these, too.  This is just a mixture of chocolate Teddy Grahams and Valentine M&M’s.

For variety, we also mixed Teddy Grahams and Gummy Bears.

We found some cute Valentine theme goodie bags to hold our bears.

And then we made a personalized tag using some of my digital scrapbooking goodies.  Chloe decided the “Bear Hugs” saying would be perfect for her friends.  Tie the tag to the bag with some matching ribbon.  I’m certain the girls will love getting this fun snack during the school day!

I’m also thinking I like the phrase – “You are my beary best friend!”

Fun and simple and one that won’t be forgotten beary soon.
